its now the mrx-m240 2400 watts at 2ohm for around $750

Where do you get your information? The MRX is all over the internet at about $500. Also, that's putting out 2400 at 2 ohms.

OP never stated voice coil configurations so who knows if he needs it at 1 ohm nominal or 2.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
