Basically the best teams (group of 3 college students each) qualified to make it and you have one computer and 5 hours to solve and submit 11 computer programming problems in either C, C++, or Java. You get penalized each time you submit it and its wrong, it has to be ferfect. If you have an extra semicolon or << endl;ect somewhere, its wrong, even if it produces the right output. Plus you can't bring inoutside sources so you can't cheat. I may sound nerdy but its intense lol. My computer programming teacher runs the qualifying for the whole eastern US, he's really into it. Its sponsored by IBM, and they have recruits that are pretty much waiting till its over and basically walk up to the top 20 teams and give them a paper to fill out their desired salary, and then they are hired.
