They are fairly priced at the local orielly's. I'm running a skar 2500.1 and I have a Tenney 270 amp alt. SMZ2 Posted March 21, 2013 Author Report Posted March 21, 2013 Just looking at options I'm probably going to get the Remy battery in the end... But I need to keep a stable voltage bad. Lbox88 Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 Last I knew, the standard superstart agm's were just rebranded Deka's, not sure on the platinums though. UBL | Build Log

I have heard they are pretty stout. I can only run two rear battery's though for nspl. I have heard they are pretty stout. I can only run two rear battery's though for nspl. What's the size requirement or limitation I should say, on the rear 2 batteries? A couple group 31 100 aH batts would be good steadier than 2 group 34s Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
LZTYBRN Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 I believe the platinums ARE the AGMs... I just picked up one of the Duralast platinums (which I'm pretty sure is the exact same battery) and I think it's a pretty good battery so far. No problems, rests at 12.8 or so. I would have went with the one from remy, but I figured I'd pay the few extra bucks and get the 3 year warranty, plus the convenience of being able to just bring it in to autozone if I ever need to.
CleanSierra Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 By the way, it.seems like a hellif a battery for $150. So even a couple would have more reserve than 1 group 31 for a lower price, but then again, you've used twice as many batteries too Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
rocking.that.eclipse Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 I think the platinums are AGM also. Ask Lbox. I believe he runs them in his Equinox
Lbox88 Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 I have a diehard gold agm and a diehard platinum agm, gold is rebranded deka, platinum is rebranded odyssey. And I have a kinetic lol, ghetto battery rainbow in my car. UBL | Build Log
