Need a HU that displays Ipod on the Deck... Not a Pioneer

Recommended Posts

the p90prs has a copper chassis. the 80prs does not. i wont run anything but pioneer. i will admit i had a bad pioneer. but for the amount of broken alpines ive seen i wont buy alpine

I will only run Kenwood, and usually eXcelon is my preferred drug of choice. My DDX896 was just about unbeatable....so much that someone else decided to break into the truck to steal it.

I have the jvc kdr-80bt, and it displays iPod via USB, and has Bluetooth too. It clips at 47/50.

That's the one I had before I got a good deal on the Kenwood, it's in my roommates car now and still works flawlessly and does everything he needs it to do. But neither of us have iPhones/iPods, so I couldn't test that out lol.

You could just ground the RCA's to the frame.

This is what I find sad about some Pioneers. The fact that I'm paying for a NEW deck and I have to fucking wine and dine it to avoid noise? No thanks! I've never once had to manipulate my Kenwoods to avoid noise in my setup. I know the 80 and nice SQ decks they offer don't do that, but still. I've seen the CHEAPEST Kenwoods still sounds clean with a basic install.

Hot swapping meaning having the amp and headunit on and swapping RCA plugs to different channels?

I have a pioneer avh1400dvd and i love mine but since you dont want pioneer JVC is one of the nicer ones in my opinion. My dad out a JVC double din in his truck and it displayed the songs, album covers, and you can search for songs that are on your ipod through the radio
