True, not enough voltage to actually power the damn things on. Why you need turn on relay kits once you exceed a certain number of accessories running off that wire. My fans are actualy powered by my Turn on relay kit. ED2KSR Posted March 28, 2013 Author Report Posted March 28, 2013 System was hooked up on Christmas eve 2012. Ground is from trunk(on metal) to ground distribution block(less than 5 inches), out to both ground connections of amps(12 inches / 6 inches distance). Fuses are all good.
RooTxBeeR Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 How many thing are you running off of your remote wire? ED2KSR Posted March 28, 2013 Author Report Posted March 28, 2013 Remote wire (18gauge) from head unit to one amp then from that amp connected to other amp.
ED2KSR Posted March 28, 2013 Author Report Posted March 28, 2013 I have no multi-meter. The 12v remote in... Is that a relay? Don't have one. (Obviously as stated above.) RF Amp P500 Mono and RF Amp P400 x 4.
newls1 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 no need for a relay for 2 devices.... pull HU out, and chk your remote wire connection... both amps are doing the same thing, to me since not turning on, and i think above you said you have good power and ground, then its the remote. start your hunt and fix it. as people above said aswell, check your main ground wire to rear chassis. make sure its not loose I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
Chris Hammer Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Do you have a voltmeter or Digital multimeter.....take a small wire and run a jumper from the 12v positive on the amps to the turn on..if they turn on your remote wire is the problem.
