bkolfo4
I've no good at designing boxes which is why I usually go to PWK Designs. Would somebody be able to come up with a box design? I'll happily do a build log of it which could be interesting. To get 14 cuft plus port and driver displacements, the box will be big. I normally build 50.5" tall (width of MDF plus 1.5" for top and bottom), 22-24" deep, and then whatever width is required for the volume needed. If that sounds good, I can create you a design. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. I'd rather the box be long than tall, so it would be ported 19hz? bkolfo4
It can be any size you want, I just like to optimize my dimensions to minimize wood scrap. Figure out the dimensions you would like based on ~16 cuft gross and I will put something together. Get a big ole crown amp on that thing and start knocking down ceiling fans My Electro-Voice amps are able to give the sub tons of power. They also don't care too much that they are being run at 2.4 Ohms bridged.
