Its really not hard to stop a 4.3 revved to 1200. My dads silverado stays idled at 1500 and yes it pulls but if you set the ebrake you would be fine. and its really not noticbly harder to stop. Just pulls harder when you let off the brakes. Btw the silverado has a 350 so it has a noticible bit more power then the 4.3.

Maybe your dad needs to get that fixed. Not the way its suppose to be. Plus add 1000lbs of subs, amps, batteries, wood, and what not to your dads truck and see how it stops.

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

Dude. Just look into something like said earlier. Having 1200rpm idle is a bit much and hard on things. I mean going to 800 would be fine but not that much.

I would stay safe and use one of those cable kits.

Good luck either way :)

EDIT: Plus these trucks have MAD torque. I drove half way across town by accident with my E-Brake on. Barely noticed it even with all the weight. I'm a dummy. lol
