fecupe2001 Posted August 9, 2014 Report Posted August 9, 2014 love to see you testing this thing so much my friend, yes tuning about 35-36 hz always helps on the meter, and on the ear-o-meter if you ask me, i mean, as much as i love the lows, i prefer to be louder around 40-45 hz for demoing, higher frequencies chokes people better , is not like you can´t hairtrick at 35 hz instead ot 28 hz lol I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. May i give you a suggestion? we have the same "problem" with the toyota yaris from my team, walled using 4 loudforce 15s on a 3K burping 154 @ 49 hz , box is 16.4 c/f and 255 SQ of port tuned to about 35 hz, sucked ass below 30 hz, we just built a "box" for the port whenever he wants some lows wich shrinks the port to about 235 SQ and tuned to about 30 hz, plays strong as hell down to about 27 hz with that thing inside the port, then when he´s going for shows he just take it out and that´s it I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. fecupe2001 Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 yes we toss a box inside the port to shrink it, that was the suggestion lol, i would just leave the port big and tuned to about 35-36 hz for burps and then take get the port shrinker for demoing and daily if you care about the lows that much, easiest way to get the best out of both worlds IMO, yaris does 153.1 at 40 hz and 151 at 28 hz with the little box inside the port, does 154 at 49 hz and 152 at 40 hz, does something like 147 at 30 hz without the little box inside the port, sucks ass without it on lows haha I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
