Or you could just use 10-12 gauge wiring and not go through all that trouble..

You don't need 8gauge if less then 4-5kw is going to each woofer. (even then it's barely going to make a difference.)

I know it's a little more pricey but you could always use something along the lines of a Gauge Reducer. Then you can still use the 2 runs of 8ga and have an 8ga pin to fit into the terminal.

as said of above no need for 8ga unless you have serious serious power going to each sub. Why go through all the effort if you dont need to? 10ga would be fine Im sure.
