I want to make a video but I completely suck at editing and I don't have a proper recording device to record videos besides my phone. Do you think that I would be able to get away with recording a video with just my phone? Its a Droid 4 and supposedly records videos in 1080p HD on the back of my phone that's what it says. Or is there a video recording device that I should pick up to do my small system justice? My question is my phone good enough? And what do you use to record your videos? WastedTalent Posted April 7, 2013 Report Share Posted April 7, 2013 It depends on you man. If you want some like HDTV type stuff? I'd probably suggest that gopro or whatnot that Steve uses. It's not too bad of a price (think around $300-500). But if you're just doin the random vid on youtube and such, your phone will be fine. I see a lot of people using gopros for there high frame rate. WastedTalent Posted April 7, 2013 Report Share Posted April 7, 2013 Tbh, in my opinion, NO VIDEO will capture sound audio as far as car audio accurately... unless you are spending tons of money on a film setup (like few thousand). Even go pro, i don't think captures it good. It's better than a phone, no doubt, but I don't think it'll be fully accurate. Not unless you spend that money. I mean you need a camera which can be few hundred but also need a mic that doesn't distort. When you're loud? Good luck finding that mic. But again, that's just my opinion.
