Upgrading/adding more 1/0 to my electrical, had to strip out a little of the old stuff while I was adding more. Isn't it so much fun!! Anyhow yours definatly is lookin clean, I think those are the exact same terminals we use at work, had to borrow a few for my truck lol! I know what you mean by the solder sucking it right up those things work good! I have to say out of all the 1/0 terminals I've use probably 5-6 diff brands, the Rockford's are my fave! They just look awesome and they solder great, BUT they are too damn expensive! Especially when you can get these for the price they are, I mean it's a no brainer if you are buying your own stuff these are more realistic for a build with a shiz ton of cables. If you don't mind me asking where did you get that cable wrapping? I use the plastic conduit but I'm thinking I may have to do some of that stuff if it's reasonable...which sucks because I'm almost done with the cabling part but oh well, easier the second go round right lol! DroppedSdime Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 So I had to lay it out, then take it back out, cut it, then re install both runs. I am using the rear air ducts as wire loom! It just works out better, I don't have room for three runs to all go along the side. Here are the two straight runs cut to length Time to solder some ring terminals. These terminals from Crimp Supply are the best I have ever used, period. The solder just wants to stick to it, and you don't even have to use flux. I then added tech-flex, for extra protection, and cause it just looks so damn good! One down, one to go! So next is to get them in the car. Also, notice the hood latch cable.. reinstalled and working perfectly! One goes straight to the fuse box, while these two branch off this way. Go thru here Up to here And end up here More pics on the way... Are you happy with the sky high wire? I was thinking of ordering a couple spools for myself.. "We can only rate the RMS power handling of these at about 2000 watts rms. the sub uses a 3.5" coil, but it has to be a slim 4 layer 3.5" coil… not a monster!" To get them up to 2500 rms, they gotta be built for tones, w/ a bunch of spiders, and they sound like ass on music, is basically what I was told. Man lookin good!! Keep it up bro! Thanks man! That is called Tech-flex, I got mine from eBay. But watch, they have two different kinds, one is flame retardant and one is not. It's good stuff for sure, I love it! Finished up the Big 3, check it out!Alt. positive and ground. to battery positive and neg.This is the tech-flex I use. The one w/ the white stripes is flame retardant - for under hood wires.Soldering some terminals. Again, these terminals are the shit!!!Here are both wires after tech-flex, added some blue hs to the positive also.Then, might as well put them together outside the car..First some zipties, then more tech-flexInstalled to the alt. Big three is now complete! Now I just gotta run my neg. front to back runs, which will go under the car, and that will be it for running cable!Also pay no attn to this batt, it is only there temporarily, till I get the new bussbars and batt. hold down pieces built.
