OrionStang Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 A couple days ago, I treated my dogs with some prescription flea medicine. Its a liquid that you apply along the the spine from tail to neck. Well, since then, my puppy (7 months old) has been acting crazy as fuck. Like she is trippin'. She tries to "dig" into the couch cushion, my pillow on my bed, and the carpet. SHe isn't really clawing them, its like she thinks she is really digging dirt. She also has bouts where she sprints full speed from the living room to our bedroom door and back, pausing to stare at us, before doing it over and over again. Today, she has been infatuated with the water dish. She will sit for minutes at a time staring into the water with her nose an inch from it. She kinda dips in occasionally, but reacts with a startle. As a matter of fact, she just dumped the water bowl a few minutes ago when she scared herself. I know these sound like typical "dog-being-a-dog" behaviors, but she has never exhibited any of these actions before the treatment. Its kind of funny, but it worries me, too. Vet is closed today, i'll be calling tomorrow. Anybody ever have something similar happen? My older dog has had no reaction, BTW. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

IDK but maybe she is having a reaction of some sorts and it didn't show with swelling. Definitely take her in. But yours seems a little different... So not really sure?? Also if it is ask your vet about trifexis. It's about $20 and its a pill. Takes care of fleas and heartworm. Very effective. From what they said she had a couple things wrong when we first got her (eye duct infection...) But now that she's treated she's going to be more playful. It's like if you had a head ache, you wouldn't be doing alot, then you take medicine and feel like moving around more. Makes sure nothing is chemically out of whack. They can also look at getting you a different type of control. My dog has a mild reaction to his. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more.
