im in the 300 to 400 range. Ive been to a few outdoor stores (cabelas, sportsmans ware house, etc.) and have narrowed it down to a few, which im hoping you all can give me some advice on. Going to be for hunting, mostly bird as in turkey, pheasant, duck, quail, etc.

The three are your typical Mossberg 500, remington 870, and a benelli nova pump. I have held all three (only have shot a 870) felt the pump, made sure all felt comfortable in my shoulder. The muzzle sight stands out over the mossberg and remington and would be easier to lead when aiming IMO. I know benelli can run high but I have priced it at my local store for 399 w/o the camo print. THe other two I can get in that 300 to 400 range. Would appreciate your guys' opinion. If you also have any other suggestion that fit my price range, please speak up. I will have to go look at those and make a final decision.

THANKS!

That amp would fuck the shit out of those subs. It would roofie them, knock them out with chloroform, then make sweet, gentle, anal love to them all night.

A lot of this is going to come down to personal preference. Of the list you provided I say 870 all the way, its a classic shotgun that has proven itself for many many years. Benelli is a trusted name in shotgunning for sure but I cant get past the looks of it (call me a traditionalist), and the Mossberg is well, a Mossberg. Pump shotguns are a relatively simple design and you probably wouldn't have an issue with any of them mechanically. But again a lot is personal preference if one of them feels better in your hands and when you pull it up IE. points where you want it to everytime you bring it up, chances are you will probably shoot better with it.

Hoped that helped.

2-Eclipse 34230's each one running 2 Eminence 6.5" Beta 6A. These are beastly mids rated at 350w program power. I was skeptical but the eclipse amps are 370w x 2 and when there was 4 mids on 1 amp I could push it into thermal protect within a song so added the 2nd amp.

Eclipse 4212 running 4 CT sounds Meso tweeters. and 2 DLS ultimate tweeters up high to raise the soundstage.

I just got a Maverick 88. Can be had for like $200.00-$250.00. Maverick is a division of Mossberg. It is basically a Mossberg 500 with a couple of differences like the safety is off the back bone and forward of the trigger guard. And the slide is a bit different.

I was a skeptic then said fuck it and grabbed one to see for my self. I have a couple friends who have had one for a while and they love them. And pretty much ANY part that fits on a 500 to include barrels and stocks etc will fit. So it's a 500 for $200.00...

And mine also had a pistol grip in the box. Not sure that is going to be the case every time, the shop owner didn't know about it either.

Yeah I can get the black sythentic nova pump, non tactical, with the 28in barrel for 399 before tax or 499 with the camo skin. Really dont need the camo skin hahah

RB you make a really good point, yeah it does come down to personal preference but they all feel so comfortable!!!

And Airborne, that is a good deal, just dont want the "you get what you pay for" to come back and bite me in the ass..

trust me, I had the same thoughts. But it is just like a Mexican madeStrat, same quality just lower price. I know people with them that abuse the shit out of them and have not had a single issue. Do some research man...

Remy 870

Reliable enough for the mass of police in this nation, good enough for me.

I can jack 3 1/2 " loads, and eject them all the time, with out fail. Reliable, and fairly cheap, and good looking.

I dont know your needs/wants, but, take a few out, and put a few rounds through the ones that feel good in your hands.

Cheers.

I just picked up a shotgun for my birthday this past month actually, went with the 870. Little bit of nostalgia, an 870 was the first gun I ever used to go duck hunting with.

I like the look and feel of the newer 887 i believe is what it is... The tactical one is nice :)
