amp protects after new box

So I built a box today. 3cbft @ 26hz<--(accident lol) and I put the sub in and wired it wrong so took it out, rewired it and now when my volume goes past like 15% my amps goes in protect. And I was bumpin with the old box to and from my uncles picking up saws right before taking it it. So I guess something happened inbetween but everything at the amp and sub are all fine. I guess tomorrow I can check the rcas at the back of my eq but I doubt loose rcas would put me in protect. Also, my 4 channel works like a charm

well wiring your sub wrong would only have an affect on your ohm load to amp to put in possible protect or you not telling me and Larry the whole truth

what up larry

You're having the worst luck lately with equipment blowing, wiring issues, bad box design. You ARE learning something from this site right? I'm not trying to be harsh but I've read quite a few posts of yours and that are sometimes chaotic.

I seriously commend you for having the honesty to get on here and discuss when you're having a problem with a setup and asking for advice and taking the suggestions given to you. It takes a big man to do that so hats off to you.

So let's get into specific:

1) How did you have the sub wired the first time?

2) How do you have the sub wired now?

3) Have you checked for loose connections(grounds most importantly)

4) Is this a Fosgate sub in question and a Fosgate amp?

With the box being tuned way lower than your last, your subsonic filter may be useless for you. If you have a Fosgate it's default at 28 Hz. How did you end up getting your box tuned so low?

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Well a lot of reasons things go wrong so much is causw im 16 and doing 90% of the work by myself using knowledge ive learned off this forum, but thanks, haha ive definitely taken some beatings the past 6 months. With the amp going into protect. I wired the sub - to + in parallel and when I changed it (all this at 2 in the morning aftee building a box by myself with littlw help from a friend) I switched it somehow back to +-/+- lol and with the shittt box design, I tried using winisd to see what frequency response id have and I got mixed up with the port on that and the cut sheet on the app I used for my friends box (which sounds sexy) so instead of 3.5 x 10.5 x 33 is was 3 x 10.5 x 33 and it originally was supposed to be 28-29hz since the box and sub are temporary but I have shitty port pee foot (9something lol) and the sub doesn't know if its in a ported box or sealed box causw it has crazy excursion but shitty ass sound quality lol its been a night mare. Im actually about to redo my port right now

dont you dare put the 16 shit, i started systems at 14 all by myself not being rude, Check your ohm load and your connections if you still having this issue try unplugging your rcas and see if it still goes into protect mode i know what your thinking my rcas is this guy serouis YES i have seen it before

also start by turning everything on your amp to zero no settings and see where this takes you what size Power and Grnd wire are you using

Also make sure there are no stray strands of wire hanging out, one little strand of copper can ruin a system. Also if you don't have a digital multimeter that should be your next purchase. You need to do like these guys said and check everything from rca's to your ground.

maybe the box has little rise, hence the protection, whip it in your old box and see if it still does it
