K_SubieXT
How did you calculate how much space was needed between the subs and the headliner? I've always been curious about that My 95 Jeep Cherokee Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/157643-1995-jeep-cherokee-build-sub-is-in-and-playing/
kingsuv
How did you calculate how much space was needed between the subs and the headliner? I've always been curious about that I have had conflicting stories on how the measurement is taken. I have been told it is the center of the box to the headliner. I have been told it is the center of the box to the plastic cap to the headliner. I have been told it is any part of the box to the headliner I have been told it is any part of the box to any part of the plastic. I have also been told it is the box to the glass when the hatch is closed. 4 judges, 4 stories. I have an email into Wayne, but I doubt I get a response. The box is built now to clear from any part of the top of the box to any part of the plastic directly above it. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

kingsuv
Yes. In all reality, the box is right about where it should be size wise. I wouldn't mind trying to get another 1.5" or so taller to see how it does. Not sure if I would see a gain in score or not though. The box sits little over 4" off the back hatch. It's a tight space regardless. if the box is taller, the port might get choked off from the height. So it might be a bunch of work for nothing. Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
