I wouldn't doubt it..you guys probably come up with cool shit..i was just saying a person with some knowledge and no experience can build a gun in a day from metal scrap.

Perhaps we should focus on why people use assault weapons rather than focusing on that they use them?

Seriously folks, don't we have enough evidence from our own childhoods, religious indoctrinations, and myriad statist prohibitions to understand that the way to stop behavior is not to outlaw it?

We humans have been trying to tell one another what to do and what not to do for at least ten thousand years and the results are the same... people do what they want to do, regardless.

Albert Einstein didn't say exactly how many times doing the same thing over and over again equated to insanity but I'm pretty sure we've exceeded that criteria by orders of magnitude.

Here goes my rant- and I haven't read any of the thread- so sorry if this has already been said:

I take offense at the term "Assault" firearm. The word and term is absolutely ridiculous. I would go so far as to call it Orwellian and "Newspeak" (George Orwell - 1984).

The 2nd Amendment:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

^ seriously... how hard is that? Until it is changed through proper process of government, everything that is happening is BULL. Militia is not the military, it is American Citizens. Security of a free State - We are members of states first... The United States (of America). Right of the people to keep and bear Arms - it doesn't say except for "assault" weapons and except for muskets, and except for swords, and except for sling shots and hammers... it says the people have the right to KEEP and BEAR arms. Period. I can have them, and I can wield them. Shall not be infringed- it doesn't say slowed down, stopped, removed- it says "infringed" (Synonyms breach, break, contravene, fracture, infringe,offend, traduce, transgress, Antonyms comply (with), conform (to), follow, mind, obey,observe) Has anyone had their ability to keep and bear arms infringed in any way lately? shiiiii.......

I own several weapons that fire semi automatically. None of which are what I consider assault weapons. Magazine capacity and the ability to reload semi-automatically isn't how you decide if it is in fact an assault weapon.

I do however love the side effect of all this ban talk. EVERY shop around me over ordered all the goodies thinking the demand would would stay at the fever pitch and now they are having to bring their prices back to pre-flipthefuckout levels. And people are starting to unload everything they picked up in a panic because some asshole scared the shit out of them and they dumped the mortgage on a weapon that was going for twice the going rate from a few months before.

I could have made SHIT TONS of profit if I was a real bastard but if I wanted to get rid of something I let it go cheap. I just sold a 100 round drum mag for an AR for $175.00. It wasn't junk either but I had too much shit laying around so I gave a guy a deal...

My local shops are dropping prices back down as well... They are stabilizing again for now... They're selling Pmags for 22 a piece which i know is still a bit inflated but its better than 35-50 a piece that they were a few months ago... Now if the ammo situation would stabilize that'd be great but I am not gonna hold my breath on that one lol

I sold Pmags for $15.00 each shipped and they were brand new! That was in the middle of the gouge! I did however keep ALL of my HK mags. PMags are great for casual shooting but during a sustained fire fight they have a tendency to lose their shape and either get stuck in the mag well or they won't fit after a reload...
