fiberglass resin from Homedepot or Lowes?

ive used this resin before and will be using it for my door in 2 weeks

Buy good resin the first time an save yourself the headache. Better thinner resin wets out much easier and you end up using less resin.

Bondo/3M resin at any hardware/auto store is the same shit. It will have wax in it so you must sand between layers. If you let a layer cure, then you need to sand it then apply the next layer of chop mat if you wish to contiune.

So strech fleece

Soak with crappy resin and let cure

Sand the fleece

Then add chop mat

Ideally you want a quality laminating resin. No need to sand between layers.

so with the 435 resin from uscomposites can be laid on without "real" sanding between layers? just curious .. also can someone with more knowledge give a quick break down of process.... that fiberglass site everyone links no longer lets people sign-up anymore

i used the 3m stuff and had no issues with it. then again i leathered over it. for my first real go at a good pod i was happy and they were very strong!! and glassed inside of my box too and matted. no issues!!

I waited, and ordered from US COMP.

I saved a 3rd the money.

and, its better product.

My 2 pennies.... just order online. Unless you need it right now.. and even then.. id say wait..
