I have a friend who sold a 2001 regal to some kid in college and the cops showed up at his doorstep the very next day it was part of a hit and run on a parked car and I guess neither of them had gone to the DMV yet, but he was fine because he had his bank confirm about the exact deposit into his account and all that. Sold a mustang once that had a loud knock in the motor, I didn't care I bought for a project, told the guy I what I thought it might be but never tore it down to find out. He did and got pissed that I was wrong and said it was my fault and sued me. I lost the case due to no bill of sale stating sold in as-is condition. Lesson learned.
