I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

It did look much better once I ground it down and wire wheeled it Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! I forget the name of it but all you do is reverse the polarity of the cables and it works like a charm. I use it when I bring my welder home and dont want to lug the huge bottle with it. Thats cool. goodvibez Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 Yeah I know they make it..but we are cheap at work and don't buy the "fancy" stuff! haha Like I said we mostly use stick welding for almost all the heavy equipment welding we do around here and dont use this wire feed much except around the shop for little crap here and there...also have serveral trucks around the yard that have nice welders on them but...I'm sure once I get into it I'll come around to investing in nicer stuff! I'll do a separate thread in the D'Amore section for how I went about doing it...it's not perfect but I dig it so I DGAF!! Here's a few pic's....trust me it will be all internally wired except for the led's because they are rgb I need a controller and its not worth trying to fit in there...here ya go! So yeah there are flaws like the plexi needs to be polished and the wrap could be a little better but that things sucked to wrap and Im not all that good at it..but hey progress..got another one thats about half way done and some lit up shots! Made a small vid...nothing special just shows the led's do patterns so maybe I'll upload that tonight?
