I'm watching your build close, I have a 2013 Altima 3.5SL that I've started working on. I plan to start a build log and get some of my pictures up. Looks great so far. Have you listened to the Morels before? I've never heard them. How do they compare to other brands you've heard?

NICE!! Welcome to the NICO fam haha... one thing I will warn you... The Tweeters on the Dash and Running the power wire will be THE biggest PITA!!! The tweeters have a screw right under the windshield that is only big enough for a drill bit to fit! I Had to improvise and use a drill bit while turning it with needle nose pliers, but even though that sounds easy, its easier said then done lol and as far as running the power wire, Behind the driver side panels, Theres so many wires, connectors and fuses just to even get to a gromment its ridiculous. That was a 5hr job in itself! but its doable, just be persistent!! And Morels are BEAST They're a SQ brand that comparable to Focal and Hertz.... So trust me when I say The SQ on these things are top notch! These in particular Have a Smooth Response, The tweeters aren't Harsh at all, and with proper install (ie sound deadening doors and proper wiring) should get some nice mid bass! Research them if you get a chance, they have excellent reviews! I live right by a dealer that sales them so I was able to audition them before I bought them, and Compared to the Focal Access I had in my last car, These sound better to my ear!

If you would have wetsanded those eyelids they would look better. Dont look bad but coulda got a bit more shine out of em

Thanks for checking out my Log N8 ... I was actually planning to wetsand them and put some Compound on them (after doing further research on why they weren't as shiny as my factory paint) but I'm just going to wait to install them when I do my Projector Retrofit. Thanks for the tip though! It was definitely an important step I missed

Sure Thing Bro haha! I just hope this Enclosure come out as good as I'm expecting! When I finally get the chance to fire her up, I'm going to have anticipation like a mechanic firing up a new engine! haha

Yep its just paint you can wetsand primer then paint and wetsand again and buff.

Thank you much! I'm going to try and have 98% of it done tomorrow! Trying to beat this nasty weather coming tomorrow night that involves anything with me being outside! So hopefully I can sand box tonight, flush trim tomorrow, Finish Painting the port, Install amps (maybe do that tonight) and Install alternator! that way the only thing left will be to carpet my box, but thats somethingI can do on my living room floor!

Yep its just paint you can wetsand primer then paint and wetsand again and buff.

I'll DEFINITELY use that tip on the next thing I plan to paint (maybe some interior pieces!)

Start small. Espexially with rattle can. Otherwise youll get cramped.up forearms and fingers from going over it so many times

Try to paint in one direction.

Prep.is key ive even wetsanded pieces before primer.

Take your time and not rush your coats.

Thanks a bunch N8! I actually came acroos a hot rod forum where a guy said he wet sands before primer and I did it on the lids, I also give the dry time like 2 or 3 more minutes longer then it says on the can for assurance esp working with metallic (from research, it can appear darker if you rush and put too heavy coats on). And The company I buy my color match from, I bought a handle they sell a handle that goes over the nozzle and it makes the can like a spray gun Thank you much for all the knowledge!! Once I finish this build, I'm going to take some scrap piece and practice some more!
