It lasted a while compared to others i have seen plugged in...

It was at an odd impedance . A couple days ago I realized I had not checked the coils with a dmm . When I tested them ir was at 4.9 ohms. So at that point I was pretty much like wtf. I took the jumpers out and tested the coil indiuvidually vc 1 no reading vc 2 at 4.9 ohm. I honestly think a tensil lead may have been the reason and likely the sub what purchased that way brand ne2 because there was literally no play time on it and when peeking into the basket the coil was nice and shiny copper

my best idea of what power this took was likely in the 600w ish area.

the sub could be smelled within 15 seconds of that power.

the sub was unsellable is not reconable and was ruined already which is why we decided to just kill it because there was no use for it

Sorry about spelling lol im on my phone. Psi may make a recone for this but I have no idea

You fool!!!!!!!!! They do make recones lol, but they don't come as one piece, you have to get the voicecoil separate from the spiders and cone.

And these handle 1000W RMS? how did 600W blow it????????? I run both of mine wired to 2-ohm loads @1000W RMS each......they don't cook like that lol

Edit: My dumbass almost forgot that the wall-socket is AC current not DC..........lol so never mind about the power.....

What comes out of your amp is AC too ;)

Wall power is just very dirty and can have a nasty dc offset sometimes too

but doesn't the amperage and voltage remain the same? I dont know much about the amps lol, just woofers for now.

Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.

For what it's worth, P=V*V/R = 120*120/4.9= 2939W on one voice coil. When the second coil shorted to the first in a parallel(ish) way since it got louder, it would have been double that power.
