I used to ride bmx and know first hand that falling off a ramp that high does not feel good and certainly would have the potential to cause a serious injury. The main sound I heard was his deck hitting the ramp next to him, and him going "ow". Unless he got a splinter, the kid was fine. That being said, the dad is a dick. I agree that part of a parent's job is helping their children overcome their fears, but that's not the way to do it.
