In all seriousness, if you know the right people then DD's pricing isn't as bad as the interwebz makes out to be. Expensive yes. But you're paying for arguably the best stuff out there.HmmmmProof that they are the best? One can get much better for much less. I understand what you mean there, because 90% of us want a daily that will hit hard as a mofo, non stophere is my input on DD for daily because thats what I use it for every single day Why am I happy with my DD? well, its handled a ton of abuse from stock electrical, yup in the beginning, lots of clipping Now full electrical, its handling all the power I can throw at it, non stop, I drive 2 hour distances frequently, full tilt the whole entire way, I know i should take breaks i dont, I have had the sub 1 year, it has hundreds of hours of aggressive play time on it, and the suspension is still very stiff. Oh they dont hit low enough? watch me flex the windows on an entire shopping center at 28hz with one 12" How many recones have I had to do this year? ZERO I am giving it over twice the rated RMS literally NON STOP How many different problems have I ran into causing me to have to spend more money? ZERO, with the exception when I extended the port for lower tuning. I have not ever had to pull the woofer from the barrel one single time due to an issue since the first time I installed it, I may have spent a little bit more for the "DD" but I have spent less in the long run, They have a price for a reason, know the right person, you can get a better deal, but even if its a touch more than something comparable, supercharge it, and leave the comparable class in the dust This is just my 2 cents on why in my opinion the little extra money is worth it long term I never own DD subs I have 3 amps German mids and tweets.looking for fourth mid amp stuff is nice. SHCA 2/0 wire SHCA 1/0 to 2/0 adapters Atomic AT-3000.1 Lots of sound deadner new mids an highs, still debating on what to do. A few Deka g31 batts. TeamAA Posted June 19, 2013 Report Share Posted June 19, 2013 Alma gates used to demo her spl truck with a song at the peak door open, I don't do spl one note wonder builds but I gotta respect the numbers sometimes, to me a 160 with 20k at 30 hz 4 subs is way more impressive than the 2 sub build with 10k doing 160 at 57hz But either way when the guy with 4 subs and more power tries to get louder, he has to go look at the guy with 2 subs because his box is that much more efficient, there is always something to be learned (EDIT) and there is always someone louder it's like drag racing there is always that extra .001 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
