Omega5002
Just a small updateDropped my negative run from the starter battery - to frame, gains a few tenths of a voltAlso deadened my doors(I hate the old audio technix lol)Sound quality vid Also modified my box a bit, shrinked the port to up the tuning a bit, went from 29hz to 33hz, sounds more rounded now, and higher frequencies are more painfuls, and even the low end sound a little louder. Also gain a few tenths of a cube as well.Wanted to try out spl tape, so i did, and made the port sound cleaner, think I may do the entire inside with itThough I've been having big plans lately, especially since I got a new job, so bigger budget, so I'll spill the beans lolPlans so far are- 2 American Bass XFL 15's in a 9 cube box tuned to 34hz, made with birch, and reinforced with steel(that's right), and fiberglass. Also a big ass 12' sonotube, that will also be glassed, think I may try out the smd sunflash- 3 Deka G31's, maybe a 4th one if it can fit under the hood (local sells them for $80 each, and with good resting voltage)- 3 runs of 1/0 negative, 3 runs of 1/0 positive, hopefully ofc if I find a good deal- Singer 310 amp alt with 220 idle, set to 14.8 cold- An SK2500.1 since I get them dirt cheap(I'll paint the amps so I'm not supporting/promoting a weasel), gonna run 1 at 1 ohm, and eventually get a 2nd one after the alt, and run 2 of them strapped at 1 ohm- Plenty of deadener, hopefully Coleman has the 80 mil audio technix around when I need them lol I caught the itch, I really want to break 150, and I know I can do it, I've been planning, and designing the new box for a while, been reading up, listening to more experienced people, and opening my eyes. Also getting advice from my friend who's an American Bass dealer, and knowing more people, made a friend who can cut steel, so gonna use steel angles in my box, I want that fucker stout lol. Anyways, I plan on ordering the xfl's when I get my first paycheck, and also planning on starting the box, if I don't get the 2500 soon, I'll horribly underpower the xfl's with the brz 1200 lol.Since I have something the sorento that sounds good to me, that gives me more time for me to work on the box, so I can build it properly, even if it takes me weeks or months, I don't mind, I'm in no hurry.Nice thing about my work schedule, I work from 6pm to 10pm, so I have the day to work on stuff. That's all the jibber jabber for now, just wanted to share my big plan. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

Omega5002
Any numbers on those subs at 30 and 25? Nope, cause those are the frequencies that go below my tuning, especially with my new tuning of 33hz. Does move some air at 30 and flexes the car a good bit at 25 though. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
RooTxBeeR
How much port do you have? And was this box designed for these subs ? Just curious because I have the same sub. Omega5002
How much port do you have? And was this box designed for these subs ? Just curious because I have the same sub. About 72 sq in of port at 33hz tuning, 7.4 cubes net, with a vent mach of 0.04(you wanna stay between .04 to .05 for output, and control above and below tuning, and power handling, you can look at that on winisd) I can play between 25hz to 60hz, have great response, control(like playing anything fast), and gets very loud for what they are. In this vehicle, strongest output is between 33 to 45 because of cabin gain, and the fact my car peaks around those frequencies Yes, this box was specifically designed for these subs by me, though it was mean't to go in my Volvo but it didn't fit. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
