You ever consider running some of your mids/highs off of the stock alt so you have less taking away from the big boy amps?

Isn't 6 batteries enough?! I need things to be symmetrical, the odd battery would bug the hell out of me. It kills me that I won't be able to sit in your ride for a demo, but I'll be able to get close...

I can't wait to see what you come up with for an amp rack. I'm hoping your parts come in and you have time to install everything. It's all looking like good work, makes me miss building shit.

Git 'er dun!!

6 batteries would prolly be enough. Oh-well. lol Yea, that odd battery in the row takes up all the floor space not allowing for amp rack to flow to the floor. I am trying to come up with a feasible way to have the amp racks and so far I am not happy with anything. =(

Yes, that's actually what I want to do to begin with but it will be so much easier hooking them to the battery bank. Plus I have that PCM controlled alt so I would need to keep the ground running from front to back and put up with charging voltage in the 13's. I am running at least 3 mids/highs amps so I really don't wanna fuck around trying to keep stuff separate. I figure with my batt. bank it will all be fine. But yes, crosses my mind daily....

sorry, i was out of town, when you got these in.

What you think????

Still have yet to power up the SP4's. Waiting on my DC alt and buss bars before I can hook anything up. =( Oh, and I'm running out of time

Yeah just going off the batt bank will be a lot easier.

I was more of thinking about just running an amp for tweets on the stock alt. Would only free up 50ish amps but could help.

maybe if voltage drop is a few decimals lower then you want on your sub amps you could do it later.

I hear ya, yea, I will see how it goes. I will be watching my VM-1, lol. Also, i have 10 XS power batteries in total in this thing, 8 of which are group 31 size. Plus the DC 370 XP alt will only run stereo period so all should be good, even if I upgrade my sub amps still should be good. Right now I got the stock electrical back to normal though and since the amp racks are inches above the batteries it's just too easy, lol

Unfortunately one of my XS Power XP3000's started leaking. It was cracked during shipping, couldn't file claim with UPS, not gonna get into it, now I have a very expensive Brand new paper weight. Not happy to have this much completely wasted money BUT already got a new one ordered from Droppin hertz. =)

Ok, made this thing for mounting the FT1 super tweets. Sanded it, painted it, wasn't happy how it turned out.

So I then painted over it again with a rubberized paint hoping it would hide more flaws. Still wasn't happy so i added some Ever coat extreme

24 hrs. later I was like why isn't this shit drying...then realized I fucked up, was in a hurry and forgot to add the curing agent....FML

SAM_0770_zps17d86024.jpg

got pissed, scraped it all off, sanded it down again, thought about redoing the whole thing, carpeted it, turned out like shit, took the carpet off, really didn't want to redo it, carpeted it again, this is how it sits now, still not happy with it but I don't have time to fuck around with something so trivial. oh-well, maybe later this summer I make a new one or eliminate this.
