Tahoe 2013/2014/2015 RF, FI, XS, SQ, TM, etc...

14 guage will be fine, im using 16 gauge for my punch pro tweets and mids and a t400.4. wires is close to not fitting on those. couldnt imagine the t3 being able to handle much more wire then the punch pro speakers.

the t2 subs i think are a little more under rated imo. i hear and see a lot of people suggesting others away from rockford subs but as far as the t2 and t1 subs go they are nice. single t2d415 on a t1500.1bdcp on stock electrical except a 10farad rockford cap and i did a 142.4 sealed on the dash termlab. voltage drop to 11.9, big 3 and getting my alt back from singer would gain me some. that and a better ground in the back would help. didnt play around with anything besides putting my visors down. got another t2d415 and want to up to a t2500.1bdcp. im sure ill break 145-146 with that.

anyways, cant wait to see your build finished and how it turns out. ill have to get a vid of my 15 playing some decaf.

Thanks all for the suggestions on wire.

Yes, definitely any videos of some T2 playing would rock in this thread. Yea, I figure the T2 15" are rated at 1200 watts RMS and I'll be giving them more like 1250-1600+ range for daily ground pounding, i definitely don't want to blow them but i think that power is fairly perfect since it will be clean power.

I am working nights this week and waiting for a couple last minute things to arrive in the mail then i should be able to finish running wire and put all interior back and get to box building. Installing highs/mids will be last in this build. I'm trying to keep stock appearance but not sure where i can hide 2 aftermarket batteries and 3 amps, lol...

Since there isn't a wall being built it's a rather boring build i admit. The Dynamat aspect of it is a one time deal though and most of the wiring. After this i can swap out sub boxes or whatever i need to do in the future. Anyways, more pics. when i get em'

i had a single t2d412 on my t1500.1bdcp at 2ohm for about 6 months clipping like crazy ( noob mistake gain = more ). took it like a champ, birthsheet says 1780 at 2ohms but thats in more of a perfect world. so 1500 to it for 6 months with the gain roughly 1/2 way up with 3v preouts. i was clipping.

my friend for a couple months had my t2 on 2100 watts clipping with the gain AND bass boost, then for a month I had the amp and sub but in too big of a box and clipping with the gain.... sub took it like a champ. Therefore the 1200 watts rating is bs, should at least be 1500..

yeah, and i was using the bass knob (bass boost on those amps) like a fatboy uses a candy store. that was something like 2-3 years ago now though. wont find one of those knobs in my car unless i hook it up and mark a line of where i can turn it to with no distortion.

Will 12 ga fit?? lol Yes it will, you have to use female spade connectors to hook them up so you can use 12 ga if you want but 14 ga will be fine. I'm running 12 ga to almost all my speakers except for tweeters. I've been beating the crap out of my T2's on a T2500 bdcp for a few months and they're taking it like a champ,I'm going to readjust all of my amp gains after I play with the signal level on the 360.3 so I'll probably be turning my gain down. I'm probably clipping mine a little bit because I used the DD-1 before I put 360.3 in line, turned the gains down, put 360.3 inline then adjusted gains a little bit again but nowhere near the clipping levels.. Alot of people tend to bash the RF subs but the T1 and T2's are pretty stout, You're tahoe is gonna be a beast when you're finished.

Biggest suggestion would be to put some type of deadener/absorber in the rear panels above the taillights. Those things rattle like a mofo and make the most annoying sound.

Build looks good though!

like on the inside, I.E. the panels taken off? add dampener to those? I mean, i plan to anyways but i have no prob adding even more layers. i am big fan of sound deadener and never add less than 2 layers and i try to have deadener cover 99% of all surfaces under the interior. I know port back is loud in SUV's but i wish i could have port up like in hatchbacks and get the same sound. port back is just gonna rattle the fuuuu out of hatch over time

deff liking this build, clean build. Fatmat imo is pretty good, I painted on second skin then fatmatted my truck. I haven't had no problems with melting or anything that some people talk about. But then again it normally doesn't get over 105 here in north Carolina.

whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah

I am dumb as a stump. I live in the south and we are all dumb here.
