Chris Hammer Posted July 2, 2013 Report Posted July 2, 2013 here is the new 8 I just got. Pretty sick little woofer after holding it..looking at it. Soon I will have my 12's out and I will get a freeair vid on 400wrms...if it doesn't move enough..I'll throw it on a little over 1k and see what it does. Recones are 50$ shipped to me so if it dies it dies...I want to have fun with this little guy..thats what this is about right? For those who asked about this before..I'm guessing this is how he gets a little bigger spider on to accommodate a 2.5" coil....2.5vs2 you are looking at an extra 1/4" added to the radius and thats easily made up right here. The spider is glued to the the edge..im guessing a small spacer below...the standard 8 had a spider that fit down in a landing on a lip,, you can see it from below but camera can't pick it up. Still my guess its softparts will be the weak point of this little monster. But ehhh who cares.if it dies its cheap to rebuild. Also you can see dual leads..pretty SWEET imo. Dogs always gotta help lol MY BUILD *****http://tinyurl.com/gmcbuild***** Vehicles 2005 GMC Canyon CB1000r - Currently where any future funds are going. john253a Posted July 2, 2013 Report Posted July 2, 2013 not much clearance for the cut out and mag to go through, the way it should be
Chris Hammer Posted July 2, 2013 Author Report Posted July 2, 2013 The boot wont fit unless you go slightly larger on the hole then you have to...honestly I never really liked mag boots anyway...motors look way better exposed. Im thinking inverted mounting is in order if I can swing it. I might try a 4th or 6th with it too...I got it to try different stuff with and play around without losing back seats. Should be a good time. MY BUILD *****http://tinyurl.com/gmcbuild***** Vehicles 2005 GMC Canyon CB1000r - Currently where any future funds are going.
