Hellbilly429 Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 Basically what I ended up doing is a 1/0 reducer to 4 gauge for the ground, then 4 gauge power off of a distro block powered by a 1/0 wire which is all wired right off a batt in the trunk 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log

Kyblack76 Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 so are the t0's going to change my life over 2 p3's?homestly probably not nothing is ever enough in the sub world at least with me but they'll probably sound a bit better but with only a hundred rms dif per sub prob not by much Yeah.. sorry, but i agree.. Those TO's arent nothing special. I actually like my older p3's. Sorry, (and anyone that knows me, knows im no RF hater, trust me) but RF's amps are top tier, their subs... well......... Also,.. yes the amp only takes whatever gauge... but, id run the BIGGEST you can UP TO it, and reduce... SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold

ROLEXrifleman Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 LOL, Kyle is my man and yes bigger doesn't always hurt but at what point is the cost vs. reward not worth it? if he has a 2nd battery in the back and the run of cable is, for the sake of argument 5 feet, and carrying less than 200 amps then the 4 gauge is fine. If you can run bigger but for the added cost is the gain worth it? add to the cost a reducer and it goes up even more. With the length of that car he is going to have a lot of 4 gauge left over. Might as well use it since it will do just fine. If RF though the T1500 needed 0 in they would of made the B+ a 0 in terminal. And as far as I'm concerned I would get some nice clean split loom and cover all the power and ground wire up anyway. So it's not a matter of anyone backing you up or me trying to prove you wrong, which is not the kind of SMD member I am, it's a matter of giving the correct answer. while 0 reduced to four was what you ended up with in your system based on teh info provided by the OP it's not necessary in his. Will it hurt, NO is it a must......... No Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
Kyblack76 Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 Totally correct. If the run is short.. then it will be fine. I was under the asumption the 4g would be ran appetite to asshole. LIke a total front to rear and then some run.... Which, im not a fan of. But, from a rear bank, to the amp.. no worries. They gave it 4g inputs for a reason.... cuz, its all it needs... Im with ya H... right with ya.. SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold

justin0943 Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 no that t1500bdcp has power in it, it is better to run 1/0 all the way, change battery under the hood and a 200amp alt or bigger, and big 3 you should be good but $250 just for wiring that is raping somebody just ask if you buy the wire an just let them install it to see how much they charge.you should not need a 2nd battery be better to have a ho alt 02 dodge ram 1500 reg cab 3rd gen 2 sundown sd-2 d4 soundstream rub1.2500 amp all sky high car audio-fuse,fuse holder, wire, ring lugs and rca flex tech box design by Joe X supension-mcgaughys 2in drop spindal ,western chassis 6in flip kit, buddy custom c-notch 04 5.7l hemi motor swap and made it an slt eletric everthing youtube channel-http://www.youtube.c...43?feature=mhee http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/190882-02-dodge-ram-1500-3rd-gen/
