Dailyspl
Not a sub vs sub thread. But ive herd people say the 5 is a better sub than the 6. Why is that? I just trying to decide which ones to get for my new build. 4 18s walled off in a standard slot port at the c-piller tuned to 28 hz on 10k And eventually 20k Quote 99 expedition Two 15 inch dc audio xls Ported box tunned to 34 hrtz Soundstream pcx.2000d(better amp soon) 0 gauge big three(soon) Yellow top,(more batts soon)
TRTC360
more efficient, doesn't take a ungodly amount of power to get them moving, more practical sub IMO. CJ18
Level 6. Based in your tuning, you are looking for a low end monster and the plan of 20kw the level 6 is the right sub for you.

CJ18
Each sub is going to have an application that is going to suit it better. If you are starting with 10kw total on 4 subs, then the Level 5s would be better, but with your plans of 20kw on 4 subs, the Level 6s are going to be a better sub. Just based on a tuning of 28hz, you are going to be listening to alot of decaf type music and love the low notes. The Level 6s in this case are the perfect sub for you, they were designed to be low end musical monsters. With the type of equipment you are talking about, you are going to need a very stout electrical. Depending on what you can fit on your vehicle for alternators, you are going to be looking at needing probably 5-6 D3100s to start with and then 10-12 once you double power to 20kw.
