A 4x4 equipped vehicle is used primarily for hauling and off roading, not much as a daily driver. Anyhow, a clean air filter, spark plugs, new oil and oil filter, clean sensors and intake manifold, cutting the exhaust from the last O2 sensor towards the muffler, replacing PCV valves with small filters, having a manual transmission, buying a toyota.

Weight reduction - Pretty much demo derby style;

Remove; dashboard, lights, bumpers, hood, doors, bed/tailgate, roof, stereo, glove box, exhaust system, charcoal canister, air box, EGR system, windshield wiper fluid tank, cigarette lighter (maybe), mirrors, windows A/C, Climate control, plastic cover for steering column, rim covers, seats, and girlfriend.

Swap; 4x4 differential, drive line, to a holley intake, transmission, to aluminum heads/Valve Covers,

ADD; Another gas tank, kittens, and tuna fish.

......Seems a little redneck..hmmm

The speed thing is funny, my instant MPG tells me I get slightly better MPG going about 68-72 than I do going 65. I think my 99 Caddy was the same way

Vedy nice. Don't forget the kittens. Good thing the front tires weren't on the back and the back wasn't on the front cuz that can cause you a big headache lol.

Funny video, (

Bit of a bump, lol.

If you never use your 4x4, take the front shaft out. Buddy bought a 95 Tahoe, without one. And he noticed when he put the front shaft in, he got worse mpg...but it also was a hog anyways, but yeah lol.

I've had better results spending a few more $$ at the pump running 93, rather then 87. Get more mpg out of it.

Seafoam works too, as said before.

Fuel tank additive.

As said, take off slower, coast to stop lights, light changes, then you're still rolling rather then stopped.

Then just keep in mind, is it really worth it to waste gas to speed up to a stop sign / red light / slowass car?

Make sure no exhaust leaks, Make sure your O2 sensors aren't junk. Exhaust leak is what killed part of my gas eating, Letting in more air, making it think running lean, pouring in more fuel..

I'll think of shit later, I'm in the same boat, doing as above, going from a 1.5L 4 Cylinder, to a 5.0 V8...so i need these tips too.

I use 4x4 sometimes so ill keep shaft. :/ seafoam I do on a longer trip and these next times im gonna do 93 vpower with it See what I get mpg wise. Ive head to much bad about royal purple so im staying away. Ill probably start running high mileage in it. And ive been bad at not driving agressive lately. But it honestly doesnt seem to hurt my mpg. I cant tell tho cuz ive been getting 30-50 miles less per tank due to all the idling and warming up ive been having to do

save money and buy a daily, maybe even an auction. get a little commuter. I had an escort manual tranny got up to about 38-40mpg at one point. had over 150k miles on it but the head was rebuilt. paid 300 for it and it came with the stuff to replace/rebuild the head (it was warped).

if voltage drop is bad during driving turn the volume down. less voltage going to the engine means weaker spark. if its real bad it could affect the reading on some of the sensors but im not sure on that. k&n filters have been proven to increase mpg and so has cold air intakes.

well I cant think of anything not mentioned so I not going to repeat more then I already did.
