john253a Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 Ib4tl The box is what will make or break you more the sub when compacting apples with apples Myself off revise the question if you want some better answers that have more knowledge behind them then just my mates mate has one the there really good, gots tons loud, We all no a single 18" fits no wall So box design and power will be the decider And there are a lot more options out there so don't limit yourself to just the 2 because you saw them on YouTube My self I like sq audio they have a good product at a good price Never ran re shipping is just a big killer so I don't worry about it You may also want to look at sundown, dc audio, skar, fi audio, dd There's to many to list and all do more then rated Take the sa series from sundown it's a 600rms sub known to take 1.5-2k daily So price dont mean much when your compacting mainstream to underground

One more question i have a 99 Tahoe any ideas on box and port dimensions to let it reach is full potential? I can make it myself no prob just don't know how big i should go used to have a jl 18 and i made the box way to big and it sounded $h@t but got stolen before i could fix it. Just don't wanna make that mistake again but i also know the sq sub would tear that POS apart if you could five me a cut sheet that would be awesome also
