Scott647
Do you have to do anything other than just mount the subs differently? IE: switch the polarity of the wires on the sub. Other than phase controls. my amp and headunit dont have phase adjustment. i got cheap shit :/
Go-N-Def
How about tuning will there be anything like a hz change in fz Yo dog i heard you like boxes. so i put a box inside a box so you can bass while you FAIL
Yates
Im going to mount my inverted for looks and I think they will cool better specially if its sealed because air can't escape that easy
kl0wn
When running a single sub or all of the subs inverted, I've never reversed polarity. Why? Because it sounded the exact same regardless. Running ones inverted, and regular, I did hear a difference in reversing polarity though. 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz
Guest
slightly bigger box size because no displacement taken up by the woofer. slightly lower tuning because box is bigger. better cooling. looks cool, depending on the woofer. reversing polarity doesn't matter. thats like having to reverse the polarity if you turn your box around 180 degrees (facing trunk/hatch to facing windshield). makes no sense. only time you'd have to reverse polarity is if you had one woofer inverted and one mounted normally. then you just swap the + and - wires on the inverted woofer. CleanSierra
Only time you need to reverse polarity is if you are running another woofer NOT inverted as well. If you don't reverse polarity of the inverted sub, they'll be out of phase and fighting each other. Edit- Just read Kranny's response and it was right on. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Sutliff
Do not clamshell high powered subs you are asking for trouble. Absolutely true, but some measliy 10's with next to nothing going to them, & a box built for the application, you will get some nice results, ... I sure did.
