Well, now that they are strapped, the master (working amp) completely shuts off when I crank it up... If I switch the master to the bad amp and slave to the good one, I get very little bass. Bass boost is turned off always. on HU and amp.

What I tried:

I Tried switching the RCA's every which way.

flipping master/slave a few times.

Strapping them. (now have new problem) ^^^

Turning gains down lower.

Voltage is constant 14.7-.9

Everything is secured.

What I'm going to still try:

Checking ohm load again

replacing amps fuse.

measuring rca sheilds? Need some more info on that.

I need some more explanation of checking the RCA's and what to look for. Also anything else to maybe try before I send this POS somewhere. I figure it's the bad amp causing the good one to somehow shut down while strapped.

Crescendo have not got back to me yet.

Swap your woofers around what was on amp one kove to amp two see if the problem follows.

Test each woofer alone

Try swapping your rcas and jumper from the other amp. I dont like jumpering id prefer the y adapters

Maybe swap rcas if possible

Yep, Kenwood KDC-345u I believe.

I switched the woofers and the problem follows the amp. Also swapped the RCA's when they were separate. The problem still continued. Even running just the "suspect" amp it put out jack all for output. Even lower output voltage.

No way to borrow an amp to rule out hu or rca's?

No. Sadly, nobody remotely close o me runs this type of gear. I wish I could though. I don;t think it's RCA's as I have ran the amp by itself with no luck and the other works fine on the same ones. I am going to go out and measure the rca voltage right now. Just weird that the working one shuts off now.

First thing I would do is swap ina new head unit. even if you "borrow" one from a best buy or whatever you call it up there.
