350A not enough? Voltage drop too much.

I just want to say Mike Singer is a great guy and is helping me a ton through this whole alternator process from purchase to install to technical support. overall awesome guy!! I purchased this alt used from a guy you may know with a 160 db benz named flavius. Known for his bass orgasm video that went viral last week. I can say my alt helped give a girl an orgasm. even though I bought a used alt, Mike is still honoring warranty and full support. I highy reccommend him. anyways, enough of that lol.

im 99.9% sure the alt fully works. i have yet to put a clamp on it in my car but it pulls mad energy from the engine drops my engine rpm from 3k down to 2k when in park and revving. i got a little 4 banger. it doesnt stall my car out at idle or anything. it has smaller overdrive pulley and I have checked, there is no belt slip.

I just put in a Singer 350A alt but im still dropping to 11.9 in some situations. I have a ton of wiring all over. I need to find my bottleneck and get a clamp meter to make sure the alt is putting out anywhere close to 350A. im sure the alt is doing the job because it drops my RPM by about 1000 on heavy notes so i know currents is being produced. so only thing i can think is that my return path is choked somehow.

mercedes engines run hot so I think i gotta run some grounds right off the alt case for them to be effective.

we will see.

anyone ever have this problem? cold start im at 14.7 volts. then 10 minutes of driving in 75 degerees im down to 14.1. then after she is fully warmed up i sit at 13.7- 13.8. at idle in drive i sit 12.7-13.3. at idle in park i sit at 13.5.

when I am hot, my voltage can drop as low as 11.7 at the amps (with dual inputs) and 11.9 at the batts (both starting batt and secondary in trunk both are D3100s).

I have all OFC KNU Kollosus wiring. 2 runs POS from alt to back. 3 engine gorunds at various points around engine. all grounds connected to frame and are shorter than 1 ft.

my amps are a DD SS4a(im running 240x4 @ 2 ohms) JL XD400/4 (im running 75x2 @ 4 ohms and 100X2 @ 2 ohms). and DD M3b (4000x1@ .5 ohms)

only thing i can think of is that my frame has high resistence or my engine has high resistence. so im thinking adding grounds as full runs or directly from alt case to frame may solve my problem.

I have already checked for PCM control and hooked alt up from a 12volt source other than car. same voltage readings.

i was thinking of getting the new XS power VCM. that may fix my situation too.

let me know if you guys can think of anything that I may be missing.

I have 2 D3100s total. the point im trying to make is that the M3b does not draw over 250Amps. even at .5ohms. my highs amps draw 50amps. that was measuered.

and im still dropping below battery reserves. they should be able to hold on for a little bit. doesnt make sense.

I already checked for slip. It is wrapped about halfway around maybe a little more. Ill check for slippage again but it drops my engine by 1000 rpm from 3000 to 2000 when I go full tilt. I. The freeway on cruise control when bass hits the car slows slightly then speeds back up lol. Not like a lt but you can slightly feel it. I don't want to say its def not he belt slip but if the car responds like that I don't think it's the belt

I bet when it gets loaded down, that lil 4cyl bogs down. Lol. That's a mini power plant attachd to that lil squirl cage.

You have the alt grounded good also? All that stupid shit ???

That's what I'm thinking, the alt may be too much for that engine.
