CJ18
I will spend $429 for the sq2200 before I spend $300 on that Belva. I will gladly pay a little extra for proven quality. Also I will bet you that the sq2200 out performs your 3000w Belva.
rfaudiomustang
My favorite part of this thread is the OP saying,"If you can find ANOTHER amp that does 3K at $299 or less, I'd be happy to see it" UMMM, let's START with an amp for comparison, cause this one sure as hell doesn't do it either. At least it has yet to be proven. It hasn't even squeaked out 2/3 of its claimed "RMS" number. I believe, for me anyway, this one will be filed in the SBL category. Struck By Lightning file cabinet is going to start getting AWFULLY full with the AD-1 on a ball busting mission. Should say find another amp that does 1700w for $300 or less. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_67935_Hifonics-BRX2000.1D.html heck this one does 2k If I buy it, test it, and it doesn't do 2k, what are you going to give me? rfaudiomustang
For the record, why is everybody so set on only counting the certified mode? There are a LOT of decks out there that won't even send a clean signal that is below 1% distortion. Even when Tony AD-1'd a T2500-1, he had to rely on the uncertified mode. It did over 2k at 1 ohm at 12.19volts on the uncertified run. That is still a real number. Hell, even the dynamic run is still a fucking rms rating. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. CleanSierra
Are we now saying that the amp, you yourself said, that can do 3K on perfect voltage is now only capable of 2K(unproven mind you)? Where did that extra 1K go in just a few short days? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

rfaudiomustang
The question was asked, if a customer walked in and asked if it did 3000 watts, what my response would be. Being completely realistic, 99% of the people interested in running that belva amp will not have the charging system to make it do 1200 watts. So is it my job to tell them that? What is the difference between the belva and any of the hifonics amps. Hifonics is doing great in business right now and by no means built better, nor do they perform any better in numbers, yet they can get away with over rating their amps every day on the internet. Do a agree in over rating amps, no. Can I stop manufactures from doing it, that is also a no. If I was trying to say that the damn belva did what they say it does, then why the fuck would I post the video on here??? I'm not fucking retarded. On the flipside of that, I'm not trying to get a bunch of companies on my ass for posting videos of their product and having asshats like you guys trash their product. I'm not trying to get my dealer accounts pulled. skittlesRgood
Seriously man? Do you have nothing better to do on here than sit and talk shit? I've been working 12 hour days, give me a break. Go back and read my post from the beginning. I said I realistically see it doing 2300-2500 watts. If you find me one other amp that I can get for cheaper than my dealer cost on this amp that will do over 1700 certified at 12 volts then I'll happily shut up. Until then, stop busting my balls. Everyone else on here agrees that it is a good deal. I don't make the amp, nor do I badge it with a 5000watt max power tag. Do I agree with that marketing tactic.... no. Do I think it's a good 2000 watt amp, yes. Why would I post a video of it doing 1710 if I'm trying to tell people it will do 5000? That makes no sense. so now this amp has to be compared to a $200 amp? lol If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
