Cashdollar2009
Lots of differences here to give you a real direct comparison. I had a pair of SA-12's in my trunk firing forward sealed off. Managed to break a 150 on a pair of Crescendo BC2000d's strapped at 1-ohm. Clamped over 1500 watts per sub. Have always had good luck whether it be that setup or when I ran them individually or the single Sa-15 I had in my other car. Absolutely loved everything from the SA series i've played with or heard for what it was. Purchasing a Kicker L3 over an SA-Series subwoofer would never cross my mind. I'd blame it on your box to be honest. And 2V RCA outputs vs. 4V RCA outputs are going to be virtually negligible. That's going to affect how the gains are set more than anything. SojiaRaggs9000
Last time I looked the port was still apart of the box. Again Im not trying to be an ass.. Im just trying to help you out. Box: 17" * 14" * 30" = 3.19553cu ft Dispacement: -Baffle: 24.75" * 12.5" * .75" = .13428cu ft -Port Wall1: 18.25" * 12.5" * .75" = .09901cu ft -Port Wall2: 12.5" * 12.5" * .75" = .06782cu ft -Sub per SA specs: .14cu ft Which is .44111cu ft - .04219cu ft for the sub cut out in the baffle. = .39892cu ft 3.19553cu ft - .39892cu ft = 2.7966cu ft Port in Picture: 12.25"H * 3"W with a length of (messuring from the mouth running down the center of the port.... 12.5" + 1.5" + 18.25" + 1.5" + .75" ) = 34.5" long. Using the 34.5" length that gives you about 30.22hz after displacement... Before displacement it's about 28.27hz. I don't use torres but my math should be on par. 2.7966cu ft is way too much for that sub especially since your overpowering it. The tuning isn't terrible but it is pretty low. Comment On the Port Length: I like to count from the center of the port line to the edge of the port wall (1.5" + .75" ) But if thats incorrect then its 32.25" for length which is about 34hz. But the volume of the box even after displacement is still too big. * Eclipse CD3200 with PAC SWI-CAN2 and SW-ECL2 Steering Wheel Controls Interface* Pioneer D-Series Mids and Highs ( Fronts: TS-D1702C; Rears; TS-D1702R and Dash; TS-D1002R )* Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 ( Mids and Highs Amp )* DC 3.5k with Dual Inputs; Custom Plexiglass Backing ( Sub Amp )* Rockford Fosgate Balanced Line Driver * One FULLY LOADED ~ 10" DC m2 XL* Custom Built Carpeted Ported Box Tuned to 32hz. CleanSierra
OP, you mentioned that Torres didn't account for the second baffle, but you insist you're tuned at 35 Hz still. Tuning will change and go UP with the displacement of that baffle. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

sayhuh?
Weird, I use the old one and get completely different scenarios. Check common walls This one is with # of common port walls This is without # of common port walls BTW, Most will say Hatchbacks/ SUVs are better sub up port back. Bah..f you photobucket! If you want, I'll email them to you. I'm not paying for photobucket lol. No clue why it did this now since I have been inactive for a month or two! sayhuh?
Actually, after looking at your box, it is either deceiving or your box is not 30 by 14 by 17. 14, I can see, but the 30x17 part...looks much larger! Blown
Hellbilly429
You forgot the 3 common port walls, makes a huge difference with the tuning, I'll plug the numbers in but my guess is your box is tuned lower than 35hz 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
