Making 8" PVC ports. Flare Achieved!

Ok I want to make 8" aero ports As well as 10" if possible. I picked the tube up from local plumbing supply. We tried heat guns 2 at a time both on low pulling like 6a each so we couldnt go high on either.. we tried boiling water not much happened. Switched to oil we got results but not withoutime error.

Tbh I didnt have much time at all to play around so im trying to gather information before we try again next week.

Things im mulling over:

Is the pipe too thick?

Are we heating the iinside of the tube too quickly versus the outside of the tube?

Would a single heat gun on high which iirc is like 1200F lol something idk, would that be better than the two guns on low?

Oil temp too high or low?

Is the bowl too steep? I saw a wider less steep bowl like a salad bowl as opposed to this like large mixing bowl.

Looking for ideas please.

Pix first then vids. They likely wont embed right since im on mobile so ill fix that later

I've used one heat gun on high holding it as close as I could to it without burning it while spinning the PVC on the bowl slowly. It takes some time for sure. But when you're done pour cold water down in the PVC while holding it on the bowl to retain the water, also pour cold water on the outside it will cool it down quick and keep it shape better

I wonder if fiberglass would work? Instead of using the bowl to shaped the pipe use the bowl for the flare and fiberglass it all then you can trim it down to size and hit it with rage and smooth it out an your done or you can use resin to smooth it out
