I think it was an Apple problem ;) lol

My tablet is Samsung and so is my phone, and they both sound awesome :)

You're probably right. The deck I got after the eXcelon doesn't do the Bluetooth, so I can't compare my newer, better S3 to hear the difference :(

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Spotify has very good song quality

But I am currently comprising a list of straight legit song qualifies on the tab and seriously use it strictly for music control to my headunit. And when I've Bluetooth'd to my old pioneer 4300 it sounded awesome. Really good and I love the fact it's wireless. I almost mounted the tab into the dash but then realized I would eventually and probably continually want to sync more songs to the tab. But I could always hotspot it with my LTE and update songs that way

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Yea I made sure all the music I put on my tab was legit, 320kbps quality, decaf, big pimpin, and my usual rock playlists. Everything gets played through the native Google Play music app, so it's automatically catalogued and I can search by artist, song, album and get a specified song in seconds.

I use bluetooth with my nexus 7, and rocket player. I like rocket player more than the regular google app because it breaks stuff down into the folders that you put them in. I have decaf in a folder, then all the zips within that folder.

Are you going to be using a processor or just the head unit?

Im using a Galaxy Note 8.0 in my build, not installed yet, and ill be doing mine a bit different. So Samsung has an adapter for the hdmi. Has the ability to charge at the same time. Im going from there to an hdmi converter.

The converter will allow for analog (rca) output, 1-2 hdmi outputs depending on the converter you get, and then more importantly digital optical out as well.

Im still exploring apps, but im pretty sure there are some out there that mirror your cell device, s3 in my case, and you can do everything from your tablet even though its on your phone. Make sense?

I m still researching the app part of things.

That's interesting. I am using a processor but I have no interest in sending video anywhere else in the truck. I never watch television or movies so I have zero interest in video, other than having a music video playing while I'm doing demos. I think the screen on the tablet would suffice for that little bit of light show.

My Galaxy is the SCH-1800 and doesn't have an hdmi connector but again, the only thing I'd use from that would be the audio signal so it's not really something I need.

Lemme know what you find out as far as apps for handling music files though.

Thanks.

You don't need the HDMI for the video, I'm not using it for that. Was going to, but my kids have tablets now so I've nixed the plan, but I already bought the double out converter. However, you don't have to use the HDMI out on them, I'm just going to use them for the digital audio conversion. In my case optical digital audio, but I'm willing to bet the RCA conversion is outstanding as well.

You'd have to look for an HDMI adapter as well. They make one for my Note 8.0, and I used it last night as a matter of fact, and I have to say it's pretty direct and easy to use. Complete mirror of what's on the tablet, if you use it to another screen or tv.

Anyway, that or bluetooth I guess. I would not use the 3.5 aux though.
