Krakin Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 So how would these companies go about using a supplement instead of batteries that are being charged from an alternator? Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
ROLEXrifleman Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 There has to be some type of regulated power supply out there that can produce 500 amps of current with a variable voltage with some sort of AC input. Not cheap and not many out there but I'm sure there has to be. Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
cloud77 Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 Don't ask me. Ask the manufacturer. If giving you a piece of paper following CEA standards makes you a buyer, I'm sure its not a real big set back on their part. 2004 Grand Prix GT (2) 12" RE XXXs (04/05 XBL^2) 5 cu. ft tuned @ 35 Hz MMATS HD4000.05 MMATS SQ4100 Infinity Kappa components Juice Box black cherry Duralast platinum group 34 1/0 KNU OFC, 2/0 welding Singer 250A
TonyD'Amore Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 At Rockford every amplifier made was tested at full power at the end of the assembly line. They had a 12V 400 Amp regulated supply on each assembly line. They were tested with a home made test system. Not an Audio Precision as some people have mentioned before. Now they are all made in Malaysia or Thailand so I have no idea how they are tested.
Jonahscustoms Posted September 19, 2013 Author Report Posted September 19, 2013 Was it similar technology of that in the AD-1?

I wish they were still made in the U.S. I almost didn't buy the new amps when I found out they were made overseas. But I did buy a couple of 1500 bdcp amps, and was more than happy with them.

Jonahscustoms Posted September 19, 2013 Author Report Posted September 19, 2013 Is it as accurate as the ad-1 if tested at the same exact voltage?
