It's no where near cheap though, I think the full version is around $800-$1k or something.

Just get the trial for a month through email.

It shouldn't take too long to figure it out if you look up a quick video.

Just drag in your MP3 or whatever and then just go in and find what sound of bass your want and just go from there.

To "Create" a bassline you would need production programsn, such as FL Studios, Reasons, Logic, Cubase etc. If your trying to "Boost" or "Cut" aka EQ, audacity is fine.. but If you want to really monitor and reference what your doing, wavelab, sony sound forge, audacity, etc. those are DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) ... FL Studios is probably the closest to a "One Stop Shop" (plus the ease of use once you learn it) because you can recreate, mix, and monitor all in the same program. BUT these are programs ONLY if your wanting to go deeper into the recreation process because these are professional programs that engineers use to create the music your wanting to remake
