College students-Anyone else pledging for a frat?

Recommended Posts

So, I decided to join a frat, professional frat. When I went to rush events, everyone was cool and shit. Kind of liked it and decided to come to few more rush event. So I ended up getting a bit (they chose me to join the frat).

Today was the first meeting. I came in 15 min late because I couldn't find the building (my college got a huge campus). So the "pledge master" nearly went bananas on me about being late. I held myself back from telling him to chilled the fuck out. So I ended up with an assignment to get 2 signatures of alumni brothers. The other dude that was late 2 min got the same shit.

At first frat's looked to be a cool place to be, but now that shit is becoming pointless. There is a 8 week pledging process and I already want to drop out and tell them to go fuck themselves. This frat is about teaching pledges how to prepare for the future business world, but from the first meeting they just make you look like an idiot and try to humiliate you in front of everyone.

So anyone else joined, tried to join or planning on joining it?

I was strongly suggested to join the fraternity Sigma Pi from one of the "Legacies". Told me he could get me right in there.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

I just go to community collage, but my girlfriend is in a sorority and it's crazy the amount of time she spends doing community service, bonding, meetings, shit like that.

Honestly though, those people are like a second family to her. Her big is probably the coolest girl you'll ever meet. And her guy big is in a pretty high position in a big frat at the school, so that pretty much means connections to any party in town. And Greek parties are crazy. At least here lol.

Anyways, I think it'll be worth it in time. Just gotta get passed some of the hardasses.

I'm sure people have different opinions, but seriously WTF is the point? It's basically paying to have "friends!" Friends that haze you for the first year or two on compass anyways.

Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking!

You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it.

Hazing is illegal on our Campus. Instead, they make you do a lot of different things, like setting up a meeting with all of the brothers.

I know that you can make friends, but everyone in my pledge group, with couple of exemptions, is kind of a little bitch that can't stand up for himself. Also a backstabber too.
