Keith77
Depending on what you use for work. Like for me, Tools, uniforms for the most part. Mostly tools but you have to hit a limit before it could be used as a write off. You cant spend $100 on tools and expect to write it off. IF you were to use your personal car for work, you can write off the mileage, fuel, insurance, maintenance costs, repairs. Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

SnowDrifter
I'm talking about tools in my case. Had to get various wrenches, sockets, air tools, tool box, panel tools, screw drivers, etc for work. I guess my question is: what is the write-off and how do I go about doing it? I've only ever done taxes once before with someone holding my hand through it, so I'm still a bit lost on what to do. What does it to? Reimburse me the sales tax or something? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Gingeriffik
A write-off lowers the amound of your income that is subject to being taxed. You make X in income this year, You spent Y on tools. The amount of income, when you write the tools off, that is goining to be used to calulate your taxes is X-Y. <>< Collosians 2:13-14, Philippians 4:13, 1 John 4:7-10 2 - JBL W15Gti 2 - JBL BP1200.1 Knu 1/0 Wiring Kenwood KIV-BT901 Kenwood/Garmin Nav. 79 cutty
You may be able to write off more than that. Do you have work related expenditures like steel toe boots, uniforms, or laundry service for uniforms? Basically throughout the year collect any work related expenses reciepts and use those when doing your taxes at years end Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it.
