No that's not it.

It is though. https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200171936-Error-520

It's the way the redirects are handled, namely while keeping us logged in. If it was a public site without log ins, the data would be small enough that CloudFlare would keep up. It's getting flooded with login requests specifically.

Just got it again on iPhone. It dose happen on laptop also. After I get those I start getting slow typing and when I click the next button in a topic. It goes back to the error or I have to refresh the page a time or two. Don't have a clue what is up not smart enough. I just click and read lol

Cloudflare handles imgur and other places that handle much larger amount of page views (think billions a day).

The "request size" that they're talking about isn't the amount of requests but rather the request headers. There is either a cookie issue or the forum is returning a response that isn't 200. Cloudflare is a reverse proxy and there is nothing that is causing redirects or that would overwhelm their network. There is some software mis-communicating with Cloudflare.

yeah my understanding is that the cookies that number beyond what it can manage become unrecognized, then it returns the error. being that the cookies are used on every page of the site, to maintain us being logged in, i could imagine that we're flogging them with requests. thats why the issue seems to clear after giving it a second and retrying, but is a recurring issue that coincides with prime usage times, etc.
