afro Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Posted October 27, 2013 I've been thinking about the same thing as you with dual alts, with the stock alt in place and a DC Power 320SPX-i....Can't decide to keep all the batteries hooked up together or separate them like you mentioned. Anyone have any experience or done any testing with this? How "isolated" is it with the same negative path? Also, funny how we both have 2005 chevys! haha Love the 05 body style. I see what you're sayin on the batteries. As it was mentioned in a reply on here, keeping the crank battery on just the truck's main electrical while using the audio batteries powering amps was the goal. If I drain audio batteries, I don't have to worry about not being able to crank it to go to work. The dual alt kit + addition of two batteries just flat confused the hell out of me. I'm pretty certain I know all I need to do now.

afro Posted December 8, 2013 Author Report Posted December 8, 2013 So how did it go? Almost there. This is finals week for grad school, and I've been waiting/ hoarding until finals are over. Will let you know probably in the first week of Jan when my door pods for 8"s and 6.5"s are finished and installed, 3sixty.2 is installed, and all stuff mentioned above is installed.

Kyblack76 Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 I split mine up. I made 2 direct runs back, to rear bats,.... and one alt run to front bat, that also has a run to the rear. Ive seen some odd shit. Like all alt runs to the rear bank, and a SINGLE to the front for vehicle. And heard it was great. its a odd world.
