Next is to Secure the Pod on the Door. Just prying it in there is not enough, when the vibrations from the lows start it will giggle loose. So first to protect the door panel front and back.

Locate the pod in its place (tight fit) and Protect the front of it with tape as well so that only the backside of it is exposed

and then apply several layers of glass on the pod's back that stretches along the shape of the back of the panel. All the curvatures and fins and extra stuff on the backside serves as a way to hold the pod in place once it's dry and shaped and it also makes it so that it's a one way fit only.

So after you let the Fiber dry overnight. Peel out the piece, tear out all the blue tape. Trim the piece and test fit it

The night before

the next day, piece pulled out

you can see all the crevices and curves that will hold the piece in place. It actually pops into and out of place.

the Piece all trimmed up

and test fitted on the door. The Back side

and the front. also taped up some areas and applied duraglass on the edges to get that clean tight seam look.

now a little body filler on the pod to match the curves to the shape of the door.

What's you plan for the pods for finish? Paint, material, or CF?

Paint. Go to page 5, the tweeter pods and the mid's section will be that champaign beige with purple pearl which is the color of the car. The rest of the door panel will be that black with purple pearl. The top part of the door that you see missing, the arm rest area and the ring I made are all C.F.. and the Insert area will be a beige Alcantara suede. And there are L.E.D'S everywhere both purple and red.
