biscuitownz Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 Make the port larger and readjust the length of it to keep same tuning?

ChevyBoy95 Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 see the "Port Area Per Foot".... you want that to be from 12-16 in^2, not 5.42, you need to pretty much triple the size of your port. Cameronmyers74 Posted November 10, 2013 Author Report Posted November 10, 2013 ah okay what if I make like an external port? and its being powered with 700 wrms Edit: I can't hear the port noise in my car, only when I go to the trunk.
Triticum Agricolam Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 External ports work just fine (though I think they look funny). As long as the port area and length are correct you should be fine. You may not be able to hear the port noise from the listening position but with your port as small as it is you are probably getting some port compression, which is a "Bad Thing".
