Marshey Posted May 19, 2014 Author Report Posted May 19, 2014 So tonight i thought i would put the carpet in to make it feel a bit more like a car and to stop the sound deadening on the floor sticking to my shoes. Looks like the factory foam/polystyrene stuff dont fit since i run cables on floor so have to chop a channel out of it. This stuff is a nightmare to cut its about 10mm+ foam on outside then thick polystyrene inside, in some places is like 4" thick! Hopefully it will stop alot of the road noise like it use to do. Carpet in and a seat in to make sure its in right position. Still need to cut back bit which goes up box, put floor pockets in and side trim panels. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/

Marshey Posted May 25, 2014 Author Report Posted May 25, 2014 Started routing bits for crossovers to try make them look a bit better. Still not the best looking but as long as they work for now thats all that matters. Not easy trying to fit all these on my own. Never doing a flush mounted sub again almost lost my fingers in the gap. Aint got a clue how i get them back out. Got the speakers just about fitted 11pm on thursday when going to weekend show next day. Quick bit of wiring to try get them playing before i left so was up at 5am. Very messy wiring but one door works then i ran out of cable and had to leave. Didnt get any pictures or videos at the show as my phone was dead but first started playing it and my door lock fell out then later the door handle fell off. Heres what happens when you let a mate move your car. Windows was both open aswel so had nice muddy leather seats, brand new subs and speakers to clean. If you been following this you saw that i only put 1 200a fuse between 3 0awg runs that go from front alternator to rear batteries. You can guess what happened when i turned it up. POP! so these scores was all just on half charged batteries in the back and was down to 10v when i got to 20hz tone. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/

Kyblack76 Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 You did pop 200 amp fuses? damn... shows your pulling/making some legit power. (i know people with 300amp fuses in their runs, that ill bet my nuts they could use HALF that, and be fine.....) EDIT- im curious. How is this MIC'd? Sealed on the dash stuff or how? can some one let a dumb ass know? SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
Marshey Posted May 25, 2014 Author Report Posted May 25, 2014 i had that 1 fuse which had all 3 runs on it. i probably would of been fine if i had 1 on each run. First plan is to make a new fuse block which fits 3 fuses on it this time and then sort out the roof and windscreen flex. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/

Marshey Posted May 27, 2014 Author Report Posted May 27, 2014 Time to address the door handle that fell off when bassing. Theres the temporary fix to stop water getting in door. Need to work out how it clips all back together but might put a bit of glue on it so it dont fall off again. Didnt realise how low it was since i got the 4 subs in. Think i got a bit of rubbing on the arches. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/
