Quick VID....

My alt, charging at first start - 14.2

Depending on ambient temp, i would then see 13.3

Time again, on ambient, was about 2 mins of running. During the summer, when it was triple digits, it was seconds.

I now see 14.5 after hours of the blazer running.

Also, Mike has suggested you MAY IN FACT see a amperage increase, due to field charge being upped. I have tests already coming. ;)

lol... thanks chief.

Actually, i had a failure. My push buttons on the display, failed.

Im hearing they had a "bad batch" get through.

I got one. I was lucky enought to get it adjusted some what to where i wanted, before the push buttons took

a shit.

So, i am locked in at 14.7-14.8

But, the display is stuck on ADJ (adjust). But, it is still keeping the alt at the setting i entered.

I have a RGA number from XS, and Mike is suppose to be sending me a new display unit.

I would rather have the display reading the voltage.. LOL.

So, yes, a bad "something" about the unit. Sorry, but, i had to say something?!?!!? Had to be fair.

BUMMER.........

At least it didn't crap out on you while you were "trying" a higher voltage which you'd be stuck at.

14.7 is a cozy voltage to be stuck with. ;)

I know I accidentally cranked my adjustable regulator up to 16V once.... :ehh:

lol. The nice, and maybe annoying thing about adjustment on this unit, VS say, a dial, is that it would be REALLY hard, to wig out, and accidentaly go to a charge that is harm full. You have to hit the plus or minus button, (depending on where your going of course) TWICE to go up 1 volt. Also, SEE POST TO Kevin below. :)

Hope your well brosef.

Cool beans. If you loose from heat, you will love this unit. I know a few others, that run higher volt bats. They drive around charging "high". Then, at a comp, or demo, they "turn er down" so the amps are happy, and stay outta protect. (i may be doing this soon. ;) )

And you are correct. In 12v mode, YOU CAN NOT charge over 15.2.

You have to flip some dip switches on the back of the unit to charge 14v and 16v bats. Up to 18.9 i believe. ;)

haha mine is in the mail right now, what did u wire the remote wire too?

Same wire that turns my deck on. Any "key'd" hot will play here. ;)

Good luck.
