Strapping more than two amps together? How?

I see lots of cars that have 4+ big amps in there car to run the subs. I also only see 1 bass knob. How can this be done?

pass-thru, 1 master and 3 slaves. Bass knob of master (1st amp) controls all of them so to speak

EDIT: They make devices (such as SMD CC-1) that you still need to use to gain match them all though

I would venture to say with 4 amps they probly have 2of them strapped. So 2 sets of strapped amps. Now how to controll them they can do one of a few things. I would venture to say they use a PAC lc-1 with splitters on it and from there they run 2 sets of rca's to each set of strapped amps. That or if the amps have a input for rca's and output so you can just daisy chain them together.

How do you do your bass knobs? LC1?

I'm going to be doing 2 bc3500's and I don't want a bunch of knobs. I'd like 1 I can use for both. Either with the 360.3, or the knob that came with them.

with 2 amps you dont have to worry.. just strap them and the master will control the slave

Thanks Miguel. I was trying to run an amp per sub. They're dual 2 ohm subs and I was trying to go 1ohm per amp. I don't know that I can do that strapped can i?

I just use a phone line splitter, works fine on my aq amps.

RJ11 splitter is what soundqubed told me, but I would use an lc-1 over that anyday.
