Looking for Black Friday Deal, Little Help!!

Recommended Posts

orion very often home theatre systems have active subs which simply take a single rca out from the amp so adding your own bottom end shouldnt be a problem.

Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at.

I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k.

Thanks, been researching and I see that (in most cases). Gonna go ahead and just get a receiver for now and build off of it.

So if anyone has a recommendation, or one for sale, I am trying to find a good one for $200 or less.

Already stated Im new to his, all that stuff you posted is unknown to me. All I know is I want 5.1/5.2 with at least 100w x 5 at 8 ohms, and the ability to connect my flat screen and PS3 to it.

I'll buy speakers later and deal with sub setup last.

For home surround you need a receiver that has preouts for subs, center channel etc. if you are going to add amps to run these. I run Onkyo with pre-outs for all channels each channel has its own amp plus 31 band eq. My systems has 20 pieces not including speakers. 4 subs.

All the receivers ive looked at are internally amped for 5 channels (center included) and have sub pre-outs, hence the 5.1 nomenclature. Thanks though.
