RCP Audio
orion very often home theatre systems have active subs which simply take a single rca out from the amp so adding your own bottom end shouldnt be a problem. PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k. 1991 Mazda 323VERY small build thread here: http://www.stevemead...23-small-build/

Thanks, been researching and I see that (in most cases). Gonna go ahead and just get a receiver for now and build off of it. So if anyone has a recommendation, or one for sale, I am trying to find a good one for $200 or less. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

OrionStang
what features do you want/need? Basic surround? DTS, 96/24 sound, HDMI ins and outs, bitsteaming? Already stated Im new to his, all that stuff you posted is unknown to me. All I know is I want 5.1/5.2 with at least 100w x 5 at 8 ohms, and the ability to connect my flat screen and PS3 to it. I'll buy speakers later and deal with sub setup last. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Soccerballzs
For home surround you need a receiver that has preouts for subs, center channel etc. if you are going to add amps to run these. I run Onkyo with pre-outs for all channels each channel has its own amp plus 31 band eq. My systems has 20 pieces not including speakers. 4 subs. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/2438-jeep-commander/I Pioneer P99RSAmpere 38002-Ampere 125/44-6.5 inch Hertz HSK XL Mids4-8 inch JL Audio ZR Midwoofer 2-5.25 Satori Mids2-Morel Tweeters, 2 Hertz Milles 3 inch on A pillars2-Hertz Silk tweeters DC Audio Level 5/12 Skyhigh Wire Mechman 320 XS Power D3100MO Funniest Thread of the Year 2013: http://www.stevemead...dy-being-a-pos/
OrionStang
For home surround you need a receiver that has preouts for subs, center channel etc. if you are going to add amps to run these. I run Onkyo with pre-outs for all channels each channel has its own amp plus 31 band eq. My systems has 20 pieces not including speakers. 4 subs. All the receivers ive looked at are internally amped for 5 channels (center included) and have sub pre-outs, hence the 5.1 nomenclature. Thanks though.
